GET INVOLVED: How can you help?

There are many ways to help or get involved in this mission. Willingness is the only requirement and you can contribute your time, expertise, passion and generosity. BKP projects include book drives, an area where we need volunteers to collect. sort, stamp and pack books ready to be shipped. If you own a business and have a commercial or retail space, you can volunteer to be a book drop off center. If you feel, your hometown is in need of a library, you can petition or request to set-up a library in your hometown. If you, or you know someone who reside in an area where BKP libraries are established, you may volunteer to conduct read-aloud programs. You can also adopt an established library by sending funds or books to support the volunteers. Or you can simply attend a book drive or drop off new or used childrens’ books in the listed drop off centers.

DONATE or ADOPT A LIBRARY...

Funds and books are always needed to keep an established library active. Volunteers who conduct the reading and writing program need transportation reimbursement. The libraries also need books and school supplies replenishment. To donate, please click on the link below:

HOST OR ATTEND A BOOK DRIVE...

In our current news page, we will regularly update on going book drives. You do not have to be a BKP member to host or attend a bookdrive. It is a great way or excuse for you to get together with your family and friends for a good cause. You can also drop off books at the listed drop off centers. If interested in hosting a book drive or party, please email us at info@bkpcalifornia.org.

SPREAD THE MISSION...

If funds and time are areas that are difficult for you to contribute but you feel passionate about the cause, please spread the goals and objectives of our organization to others who may be able to contribute some of their time and funds for the cause. HOST OR ATTEND A FUNDRAISING EVENT...

Please check our current news page for updates on fundraising events. Fundraising events include entertainment events and family affairs. If you feel you can contribute or would like to get involved in BKP’s fundraising events, please email us at info@bkpcalifornia.org.

SET UP A LIBRARY...

If you feel you know a town in the Philippines that could benefit in having a children’s library, you may request to have a library set up there. To request a library set up, you must submit a letter of request to any of the BKP Directors. BKP Board directors will review your request and contact you. To request a library set-up, you must become a BKP member first. Fill out the information below to become a member. You must also host a book drive. For more information, info@bkpcalifornia.org.

VOLUNTEER YOUR TIME...

There are many ways to volunteer and contribute some of your time for this significant cause. We are always in need of book sorters, labelers and packers during our shipment days in San Diego and Los Angeles. We also need volunteers to teach our read-aloud programs and our RAFT writing program in the established libraries in the Philippines. BECOME A BKP MEMBER

As a member, you will enjoy the benefits of being informed and be closely involved in all of BKP activities and programs. Members may also submit by-laws proposal, program proposal and vote on by laws. If you would like to be deeply involved and become one of the BKP Board members, you may start as a BKP member. BKP members also get exclusive invitations to all BKP events. The annual membership fee for BKP members is $25.00. All of the membership fees go to support all expenses that go along with setting up and maintaining the libraries.
